
Awarded a Batchelor of Education degree from Nottingham University in the early 1970’s John went on to teach Politics and Psychology in UK High Schools, terminating his education career as an Associate Professor at Nottingham University in 1975.
Throughout the late 70’s until 1988 John “honed’ his selling and marketing skills via live demonstration across the whole of the UK beginning with himself as the only employee and finishing with a UK company which on average had 25 “pitch people”, trained by John selling in Department stores/ Malls/Consumer shows etc throughout the length and breath of England Scotland and Wales week in week out
In 1989, at the request of Morty Moosavi, John agreed to be the presenter of the world renowned Auri car wax infomercial for Media Arts. Sales went thru the roof. The rest is History.
It has been said that this programme was the benchmark for all demonstrational infomercials. Such was the success and recognition of that programme that clips of John and the show were used in a variety of Hit USA TV shows including the biggest sit-com ever: “Friends”
Following several other equally successful programmes, Astonish, Colorcote 2000, John went on to write and co-produce a greater number of hits ranging from Automotive products to Houseware and Household items.

Such was the success of one in particular, Regal Royal Diamond Cookware, that the iconic USA show, “Saturday Night Live” ran a 4 minute skit of him and that show. Testimony that his impact in the genre of DRTV was as high profiled as it could get. In fact in September 2000, John was awarded the “ ERA Shining Star’ award , one of only 20 given as a “Thank you for Leading the Way”
In an industry that boasts a success rate of 1:10 , John managed a hit 3 out of 4 Gross sales from Auri/Astonish/Colorcote 2000/ Royal Diamond Cookware/Touchless/Do it All/Microwise/Rocket Chef/QuickCooker/Powerchopper etc topped $950 million Worldwide .
As one of the founders along with Moosavi in this industry, John diversified along with TV hosting and Production and acted in consulting capacities for many of the Industries best known Companies and personnel, Tim and Kevin Harrington, Jack Kirby to name just 3.
Based upon John’s track record and huge network base, alongside his fully integrated understanding of the manner in which the business needs to operate to succeed, again at the request of Moosavi, John joined Morty in setting up a TV shopping business in Beirut, as a test model to penetrate the bigger Middle East markets.
“if you make it happen and get it right in Lebanon it all down hill from there". The teaser Morty used to get John on board.
Together they got it right in Beirut Lebanon and have since successfully operated in the Middle East arenas that have significantly increased GNP.
